Hairy Prawns and California rolls...

So the title may seem a little strange but very much relates to my day and you shall see why.

My day started at 7.15am when i took my dad to the station so he could go to work, all very unexciting as you can see but trust me it gets better (i hope) i was pretty tired as my dad forgot to tell my mum to wake me up at 7am so i was still pretty much half asleep when i took him and was looking forward to getting back home for a little more sleep as i didn't go to sleep till gone 3 I'd had around about 4 hours sleep. So i got back at about 7.45pm and got back into bed. I text Nick to say good morning and stuff as the previous night we had talked about morning texts and i had made a joke saying that if he text me nice things in the morning it might make the mornings better sad i know so he said well maybe i should do it to him i was like no no don't be silly so i did any who... this lead me to not getting any sleep as we ended up having a conversation over text and eventually i was too awake to go to sleep so i got up. to which my mum kindly made me boiled eggs and soldiers with a very large cup of coffee.

My sister came downstairs at around 11am asking what everyone was up to today and she asked me if we could go over to bluewater so i said ok... even tho i don't really have much money so we left for bluewater just before 2 and we got there just after 2.45pm and started wondering around, even with my little bit of money i some how managed to spend it all buying a top/dress thing which i thought would be nice to wear out on an evening on holiday, there was a bonus tho my 10% student discount. so i got that and my sister had got a few thing too and she decided it was time to have something to eat her treat. She has this slight obsession with sushi bars so she decided to treat me to my first real sushi experience.

I would say this is something that has become a little bit of a craze in our country sampling the delights of the Japanese cuisine and their strange names. for some of their dishes and their sweet looking miniature desserts. Any way i had had a few pieces before so i was game for trying some more adventurous stuff under my sister advise.

ok so a short run down of the dishes we tried starting off simple and building it up to more adventurous things.

Dish one was avacardo wrapped in sticky rice and seaweed. that was simple yet tasty. This had come around the belt as shown in the picture above.

Dish two we ordered from the menu this was a Salmon and Avacardo roll which was similar to the first only it was in a cone shape rather that a circular piece. which i found i rather enjoyed. And looked similar to the picture on the left.

Dish Three was a noodle dish with Prawns and Vegetable. This was enjoyable tho me not being a massive fan of soy sauce though it was maybe a little drenched in the sauce.

Dish Four i had were California rolls with crab, rice and avacardo and seaweed.

And finally Dish Five was a dish called Hairy Prawns yes i know sounds really unappertising but actually tasty they were simply pawns wrapped in crispy noodles which as you can guess looks much like a hairy prawn. Theres some pics of me eating one which i shall put up at the end. Anyway this turned out to be rather nice and surprisingly filling and was nice to have some time with my sister. So this explains the title of this blog.
